In structural fabrication angles and plates are used extensively in a variety of applications.  From “clips” or “clip angles” to long bracing angles and gusset plates these components are necessary to join multiple sections of steel beams.

What is an Angle Line

An Angle Line is a machine capable of creating these necessary clips and plate components out of a stock length of Angle or Flat material. They are pre-programmed to complete the type and number of pieces necessary from the detailed drawings for the given john. They are hydraulic powered to quickly process long lengths of raw material..

How Does an Angle Line work

An Angle Line consists of a feeding and measuring mechanism to accurately feed the angle or flat iron into the machine. Also there are a variety of punches available for each leg of the angle to punch the appropriate size and combination of holes required by the detailer. Lastly there is a shearing system to accurately shear the angle or plate to the appropriate length. All these systems work in unison under the order of the CNC controller to produce, in quantity, accurate angles, clips and other structural members as needed.

What Makes Bendmak’s Angle Lines Unique

The Bendmak BEAP Angle Processing System offers the capability to handle small angles to large without changeover required. Angles from 1.5” X 1.5” can be processed just as easily as angles measuring over 6” X 6”. With the addition of the angle marking systems assembly or part identification data can also be added. Lastly through the powerful 280 Ton shear the parts can easily be dropped in the required length.
